vivo V29 Pro with a Unique Portrait Camera and Dimensity 8200 Unveiled

The vivo V29 Pro is the latest addition to the V29 series, offering an extra camera and a more robust chipset compared to its predecessor, the vivo V29. This new model also improves upon the V27 Pro, featuring a unique 12MP portrait camera and faster charging capabilities.

The Unique Portrait Camera of vivo V29 Pro

The vivo V29 Pro sets itself apart with a 12MP portrait camera, a feature not seen in any other V-series phone. This camera comes with a 2x zoom lens capable of focusing on subjects between 0.5m and 2m (1.6-6.5ft). The Sony IMX663 sensor includes an “all-pixel dual-core” autofocus system, enhancing its low-light performance.

Camera and Display Features

The main 50MP camera and 8MP ultrawide camera remain consistent with the V29 and V27 Pro models. However, the V29 Pro forgoes the 2MP depth sensor in favor of its unique portrait camera. The phone also features a Smart Aura Light, a ring-shaped LED flash that adjusts its color temperature based on ambient light. The 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits.

Performance and Charging Upgrades

When it comes to performance, the vivo V29 Pro is equipped with a Dimensity 8200 chipset, offering superior performance compared to the Snapdragon 778G. The phone also features faster charging, with its 4,600mAh battery now supporting 80W fast charging, an upgrade from the 66W in the V27 Pro.

 

Design and Availability

The phone’s slim design measures just 7.46mm in thickness. It will be available in two colors: Himalayan Blue and Space Black. The vivo V29 Pro will soon be available in two configurations: 8GB RAM for INR39,999 ($480) and 12GB RAM for $515, both with 256GB storage.
