Google Pixel 8 Pro Drop Test Outperforms iPhone 15 Pro Max

A popular YouTuber, PBKreviews recently tested the Google Pixel 8 Pro’s durability. The Google Pixel 8 Pro drop test results are impressive. First, he dropped the phone from waist height onto concrete. The screen stayed intact. Only a few small dings appeared on the corner frame. Next, he dropped it from head height. The screen still didn’t crack. This is a big deal because even the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s screen cracked in similar tests.

The phone also survived back and side drops from waist height. The back corner and camera bezel got a few scrapes, but that’s it. A side drop dented the frame corner a bit. This dent pushed against the screen and caused minor damage. But the screen still works fine.

The YouTuber also did a scratch test after the drop test. He put the phone in a bag of sand and gravel. The phone came out with almost no scratches. Even the camera lens stayed scratch-free. The YouTuber said the Pixel 8 Pro did better in drop tests than the iPhone 15 Pro Max. But phones with special glass like the Mate 60 Pro still did better.

In short, the Google Pixel 8 Pro drop test reveals it is a tough phone. It did well in both drop and scratch tests. If you want a durable phone with high-end features, this could be it.
